LEVEL 1
Level 1 is designed for people who are new to working out, or haven't worked out in a while. This is where most of us who join a gym start. After an injury, pregnancy or a surgery, you might want to lower your workouts back to a Level 1 for a while.
Below we have listed some Group Fitness classes that would be good for beginners, or the class has been designed specifically for the de-conditioned.
Aqua-Fit is a wet workout in the pool for fun, stress relief, weight loss, cardiovascular conditioning, strength, flexibility, etc... For all ages & fitness levels and especially good for beginners or for pregnancy.
Beginner Step This is where you learn how to step! This class is made up of basic movements that everyone can follow. You will get a great workout while learning the fundamentals of Step Class. Not recommended for people that know how to step.
Body Vive is a low impact class integrating aerobic exercise for heart fitness; resistance training for strength and stability; and stretching and mobility work. Using balls and tubes and optional hand weights, you enjoy a varied workout that activates and empowers your body. Set to music from the 60's, 70's & 80's. More Fun-Less Sweat... It's like a workout in disguise!
Core Strength A strength training workout with a variety of exercises designed to work your entire abdominal & back area. You'll build muscles you never even knew you had while developing major CORE strength.
Senior Fitness Get fit and have fun exercising to music, utilizing light weights, resistance bands and balls. This class is designed to increase flexibility, range of motion, balance and strength. This is the perfect class for our seniors, de-conditioned members or for those recovering from injuries.
Senior Yoga A series of basic yoga positions and breathing techniques where we will be focusing on strength, balance, concentration, flexibility and relaxation. This class is done while sitting in a chair or standing due to the fact that it is designed for our seniors, de-conditioned members or for those recovering from injuries. No mat or floor exercises will be performed.
Yoga will keep everyone happy with enough basics and challenges to suit everyone's needs. Modifications will be taught to make the poses work for individuals. Focus will be on the fundamental postures and combining breath with movement in order to build strength and flexibility.
Zumba Fun and Energy! Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow Latin-inspired dance steps. Guaranteed to leave you sweating, smiling and coming back for more.
